Temporary Work Program

CARE Services, along with the Federal Work Study (FWS) program at KSU, have initiated a Temporary Work Program (CTW) designed to assist CARE students with obtaining the training and job experience needed in order to find a permanent, part-time job while students at KSU. The CTW program will include training with Department of Career Planning & Development and temporary work with other KSU departments.

Overview of the Program:

  • 8 hour training with Department of Career Planning & Development (individual or group)
  • Available for temporary work at other KSU Departments – managed by FWS
  • FWS will coordinate and let us know of jobs available from other departments
    The student’s employment in the CTW program ends after 60 days, they earn $1000.00 or hired for a permanent position, whichever comes first.

Applicants for the CARE Temporary Work Program must be an actively enrolled KSU student, they must be actively working with a CARE case manager, and they must be referred by the case manager in order to be accepted into the CARE Temporary Work program. Additionally, students must be eligible for the Federal Work Study program.
